Alongside its Black Friday campaign, NordVPN has rolled next-generation antivirus into its higher-tier subscriptions. The feature, which now appears as a new item in NordVPN's own navigation, adds real-time protection against malware, scams and phishing to plans that previously bundled a password manager, cloud storage and an ad blocker on top of the VPN.
In practice this changes what the Complete tier is. For about 50 cents more a month than Basic, the Complete plan now covers VPN, antivirus, ad blocking, NordPass and 1 TB of encrypted storage. Nord has been moving from a VPN company to a security suite for several years; this is the step that makes the comparison with Norton or Avast One a fair one.
Why it matters to affiliates. NordVPN pays a percentage of the order — 40% on one- and two-year plans, 30% on renewals — so anything that pushes buyers up a tier raises your commission without changing the rate. Complete was already the plan most review sites recommended as best value; with antivirus included, the upsell is easier to justify in copy, and Nord's promo pages now lead with it.
It also opens a second angle for content. Pages that currently compare VPNs can add antivirus-bundle comparisons, and existing antivirus or security content can reasonably include NordVPN where it previously only listed Avast, Norton and F-Secure.
If you promote NordVPN through CJ or Impact rather than the direct platform, check that your tracking links point at the updated plan pages; older deep links to the Basic tier will still work but will send readers to the plan without the new feature.
