AdGuard VPN has released a standalone app for Meta Quest headsets. The company had earlier offered VPN protection on Quest only through its browser extension, which covered web traffic inside the headset browser and nothing else. The new app runs at system level, so every app on the device — games, streaming, social — routes through the VPN.

Few consumer VPNs have a native VR client at all. Most guides for using a VPN on Quest still involve sideloading an Android APK or routing the headset through a VPN-enabled router, both of which are beyond most users. A store-installed app with a normal login removes that barrier.

AdGuard VPN already covers Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS, Android TV and Apple TV, browser extensions for Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Opera, and an open-source protocol, TrustTunnel, designed to resist deep-packet inspection. The Quest app extends the same account and server list to VR.

Why it matters to affiliates. VR is a small market, but it is a market with almost no VPN competition in search. Queries around VPNs for Quest, region-locked VR content and privacy in headsets have low volume and very low difficulty, and AdGuard is now one of the only honest answers. Combined with AdGuard's 365-day cookie and recurring commission, a short cluster of VR content can earn for a long time from a single ranking.
